COMMUNITY schools in Minhang District launched a geriatric nursing course for local residents to provide in-home care for the elderly.
Teachers come mainly from homes for the elderly, bringing their rich experience working at the front line.
A "silver hair course" will begin next year to providing training in an array of social services for the elderly.
Focused on better care for senior citizens, about 300 educational professionals from all over the country gathered in Minhang recently to discuss community education programs in that field.
