Illegal sales of wild snakes and frogs in Minhang have been reduced by 15 percent this summer, according to the Minhang Wild Animal Protection Station. Official monitors have been keeping close tabs on 18 farmers’ markets and eight restaurants in seven communities to detect illegal sales. Nine snakes and 24 kilograms of frogs were confiscated.
