Crops hit by typhoon have been salvaged
TYPHOON Morak last week hit China's southeastern provinces and had an impact on Shanghai's agricultural output.
Minhang, one of the city's major vegetable and fruit suppliers, is mobilizing its farmers to re-grow and salvage crops.
"We are doing our best to insure the supply," said Meng Ayi, director of City Vegetable Base in Pujiang Town. The base's lettuce, cabbage and eggplant crops, among others, have been salvaged.
