THE Shanghai City Theater in Chunshen Culture Square recently invited Professor Jin Fuzai from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music to give a lecture on music drama appreciation. It was the first lecture in the new "City Light" series of talks at the theater.
During his lecture, Professor Jin discussed the history, styles and other facets of music drama. He used as an example the September performance of "Princess Sissi" at the City Theater.
