NEARLY 40 neighborhoods in Qibao Town will be equipped with emergency firefighting gear for civilian use.
The equipment includes axes, gas masks and insulated clippers to cut power lines.
Distribution will be finished next month.
The town also plans to build the city's first fire-control education base at the Qibao Culture Center, where students and residents can learn practical skills and take part in fire drills.
Free brochures on fire safety are available there.
