Expo history show
A SPECIAL exhibition of relics from Expo history took place at the Minhang Archive in Chunshen Culture Square recently, showcasing a visual history of the Expo to visitors.
There are more than 1,000 items displayed in the exhibition, all of which were provided by folk collectors.
The earliest item is a medal from the 1851 London Expo, since that event making and sending medals has become a tradition of the Expo.
This time, there are medals from 42 Expos and stamps from 76 Expos displayed with other souvenirs.
Many artworks and handicrafts which won prizes at previous Expos are also on display, including dark-red enameled pottery and Hunan embroidery, which shows the industrial and artistic development in China.
