New fire hydrants and 47 kilometers of water pipes will be installed on 28 streets in Minhang by the end of 2015, according to a construction agreement recently signed by the Minhang Construction and Traffic Communications Committee. Some of the current hydrants were deemed incapable of providing adequate fire protection.
