Flea market helps migrant kids
A GROUP of white-collar workers recently held a charity flea market in Minhang's 1933 Plaza.
The money raised from the 1-yuan (68 US cents) admission fee, booth rent and sales revenue will be donated to children of migrant workers in the district.
This flea market is held on the second Saturday each month and it is in its 10th month.
More than 80 young office workers attended the event after reading the notice put on an Internet forum Douban.com.
In addition to financial support, the expat volunteers make regular visits to Jinhu Primary School to give free English classes to migrant children.
