URBAN management authorities in Hongqiao Town have cracked down on more than 35 unlicensed snack booths around construction sites. More than 3 tons of unsanitary foodstuffs were confiscated. Officials said migrant workers are the main customers at these food stalls and vendors didn't take adequate measures to protect food from spoilage during seasonal heat. Workers have been advised to either eat in licensed restaurants or purchase their food in grocery stores.
