A CARNIVAL-STYLE event to promote public interest in science was held in Pujiang Town, with more than 1,000 residents participating. Visitors were shown new technologies, such as 3D printing, virtual reality and robotic systems. Stalls at the carnival sold new technology gadgets and books on science. And for those wondering where all this may be heading, science fiction authors were on hand to discuss their visions of the future.
