XINZHUANG Industrial Zone recently issued a corporate responsibility report that zone officials said was the first of its kind ever published on the Chinese mainland.
The report traces the 17-year development of zone management, environmental protection compliance, improvements to employees' welfare and corporate culture. It describes the industrial park as an environment-friendly workplace that maintains good relations with society and government.
To give something back to society, the zone established a share cooperative in 2009 to financially help local farmers who were forced off their land.
Last year, the zone founded a 114-bed home for senior citizens.
