CHILDREN from downtown areas are getting the chance to experience life in the countryside in Minhang. Students at the Jing’an No. 2 Central Primary School were the first participants of a new program that started at the Shangfang Garden Science Practice Center last month. The youngsters were taught how to grow succulent plants in old cookie and milk powder cans, with experienced green thumbs on hand to guide their progress.
