Grow your own organic veggies in Pujiang Town

YOU can get away from the urban morass, get your hands dirty in organic soil and grow your own veggies and fruits at the Xiangshuiwan Farm in Pujiang Town.

For 3,000 yuan (US$439) a year, you can become a farm "member," rent 66 square meters, plant whatever you want. The harvest is yours.

You can DIY, but you can hire a local farmer to water, fertilize and tend your crop. Everything is guaranteed organic and eco-friendly. In the future members will be able to monitor their plot by computer and an on-site camera system.

The first 250 folks started farming this month.

The farm offers an agricultural classroom for children aged from three to 12. They can enjoy an orchard, vegetable garden, animal feeding zone, a wall they can paint, labyrinth, sandpit, playground, football field and basketball court.

The farm has a public fishing pond of almost 5 hectares, stocked with carp, pomfret, catfish and chub.

You can even get married down on the farm - wedding service is provided.
