The Meilong No.4 Neighborhood Community has established a “school protection team.” Every morning and afternoon, two volunteers from the team will monitor the roads, watching out for the safety of students. Parents and teachers said the volunteer effort is very welcome, given a rise in the number of traffic accidents involving students going to school or returning home.
