RENJI Hospital, which belongs to the Medical College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, began building its new hospital in the Expo Garden of Pujiang Town on April 28.
The new hospital will occupy an area of over 7 hectares, with a construction area of 72,000 square meters. The total investment will reach over 440 million yuan (US$58.57 million). The construction is expected to be completed in 2012. At that time, it will have 600 sick beds, with a daily reception capability of 3,000-5,000 persons.
