MINHANG District Director Mo Fuchun and his deputy Cheng Xiangming visited two Japanese-funded companies in the district on March 17 to show their support and offer help in the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in northeastern Japan.
During a visit to Shanghai Suoguang Electronics Co Ltd, a joint venture between SVA Information Industry Co and Sony Corp, Mo said his government would try to help weather the impact of the quake as it relates to the supply of imported components from Japan.
At the Keihin Research and Development China Co in Zizhu Science Park, Mo encouraged staff to remain upbeat and pledged the district would spare no efforts in helping them.
