Shanghai Metro Line 17 recently passed environmental impact assessment, moving it closer to actual construction. The 35.2-kilometer line will have 13 stops, connecting Hongqiao Railway Station in Minhang to the Qingpu District. The line will be comprised of both underground and elevated rail. Once completed, it will offer Minhang reside easier access to a number of popular tourist sites, such as Zhujiajiao old water town.
