Museum moves
THE Minhang Museum will reopen at the Chunshen Culture Square on Mingdu Road in October to make way for the Xinzhuang transport hub which is now under construction.
It was previously located at the Xinzhuang Metro station. More than 1,500 exhibits have been transferred to the new site. Each piece was carefully packed and transferred to avoid damage during the process. The museum, established in 2003, occupies 4,200 square meters. There are two main exhibit halls: the Ancient Maqiao Culture Exhibition and the Chinese National Musical Instruments Exhibition.
