Construction on the Shanghai Xinhongqiao International Medical Center has started in Minhang's Huacao town. Covering about 660,000 square meters, the facility will include a medical technology center, two hospitals, four centers for specialties such as plastic surgery and support facilities. The center is expected to open in 2015.
About five international medical institutions have already signed agreements with the center to locate in the facility when construction is finished.
