Pujian teahouse great for reading and enjoying view

PUJIANG Teahouse & Bookstore, in the southeastern corner of the Huangpu River Cultural Museum, has been open since June. Packed with thousands of books, the shop serves as a great place for tourists to rest after sightseeing.

The 600-square-meter tea house was built from a deserted three-story building right by the river and is decorated in a traditional Chinese way.

On the first floor is the tea house, which can hold 150 to 200 people to drink tea and read books. Traditional culture lovers can learn and communicate on the second floor, where the books on classic Chinese culture are located.

The Wangjiang Pavilion on the third floor is the best place in the museum to enjoy the scenery of the Huangpu River. Sitting cross-legged on the "Zen seat," you can look out onto a wonderful view. With a book, you'll hardly notice the time pass.

Venue: Huangpu River Cultural Museum, 3998 Jiangchuan Rd W.
