THE Minhang Red Cross Society said it is seeking to expand its membership by 10,000 in the next five years. The disaster relief organization, established in 2006, had about 31,000 members at the end of 2010. In its five-year plan, the society said it wants to improve its disaster-response time, set up a medical treatment emergency rescue team and establish a stem-cell donor bank of at least 800 new donors.
