MINHANG quality-control authorities will conduct inspections on moped production amid a rash of illegally refitted electric vehicles for the disabled. Officials have uncovered instances when such vehicles have even been refitted as black cabs, said the Minhang District Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. Officials said they found no problems in the first two scooter manufacturers they inspected this month.
