Seasonal fruits take over at produce market
WITH the fall coming, seasonal fruits are available at Shanghai Mei Hui Yuan Fruit Market at Duhui Road in Minhang District.
Apples, hami melon, pear, jujube and other fruits are available in early autumn, replacing summer fruits like water melon, grape, pear and plum.
There are more than 30 stalls in the market, and fruit vendors will warmly recommend the best options after asking customers whether they intend to eat it themselves or send as gifts.
They will cut a slice of fruit you are interested in for a free taste and are happy to help customers carry fruits to see them off at the gate of the market. Imported fruits are a third cheaper than in supermarkets.
Address: 2385 Duhui Rd, near Zhuanxing Rd E.
Hours: 7am-5pm
