Eleven photos won top awards in the Beautiful Minhang contest after more than 2,000 photographers submitted entries since last September. The contest, sponsored by the Minhang District government’s Weibo Management Office, collected photos online at Minhang’s official Weibo site. Photographers were asked to capture the district’s scenic beauty, daily life and cultural traditions. The final round of 131 photos were posted on the official website to elicit comments from the public and from arts experts. The final winners are now being displayed in various media in Minhang, including websites and newspapers.
