Sprawling Minhang recreation park tops the poll for visitors

The latest poll reveals that Minhang Sports Park is regarded as "the most satisfactory park" among the city's 135 recreational areas.
The entertainment complex, which is free of charge, hosts more than 15,000 people each day.
Opened to the public in 2004, the park sprawls across 84 hectares, making it the largest park in the district.
With green space occupying almost 80 percent of the park's area, this city forest boasts more than 200 different plant species.
It features the 6.63-hectare Jinxiu Lake, a 1,000-meter-long pebble stone pathway, a 400-meter-long boardwalk, the 25-meter-high Emerald Hill and a 5,000-square-meter wetland area where visitors can enjoy the natural and ecological characters of more than 50 aquatic plants.
In addition, a "camping corner" is set up at the eastern precinct of the park, which not only meets the needs of campers but also helps protect the lawns.
A fishing area is also opened for the recreation of anglers.
Each year workers will release crucians and grass carp into the river.
