Start-up funding
ISTART, a program dedicated to helping start-ups in their early stages of development, has opened in Minhang's Xinzhuang area. The first phase will focus on about 10 enterprises. The iSTART fund has raised 200 million yuan (US$31.7 million) to help entrepreneurs with good ideas get a foothold in commerce. The fund will focus on companies in the fields of wireless technology, health and eco-technology. The project is operated by SBCVC, a venture capital firm in Asia.
