Support for talents in key fields

MINHANG will invest 100 million yuan (US$15.7 million) to support 135 high-end professionals in response to a nationwide project to enhance economic development by nurturing a more skilled workforce in innovative and vanguard sectors.
The district will dedicate about 0.5 percent of government revenue for the project every year.
Minhang has established a service center to help professionals in targeted fields with finance management, education, medical insurance, interest free loans and other daily living necessities.
Subsidies are also available for housing and business start-ups.
District officials said they believe that creating good lifestyle and working conditions will help attract and retain professionals.
