The 12-story Hechuan Building in Hongqiao Town became the fourth building in Minhang to pass the 100 million yuan (US$16.4 million) mark this year in taxes paid to government. At the end of 2015, this district will have up to eight buildings paying more than 100 million yuan in taxes. The 12-story Hechuan Building was an unlikely addition to the list because it isn’t located in a prime downtown location and doesn’t have a high-profile tenant.
