The mystery man who is angling for a good cause

IN the Baochun residential area of Minhang District, there's an old man who often goes to rural area for fishing. Probably he's not the only fishing enthusiast in the district. However, he must be the only one who sends his catch to single old people.
Moreover, he never delivers the fish by himself. Instead, he asks the staff from residential committee to take them - he doesn't want the recipients to know his name. After several meetings with the committee, we finally saw this mysterious bespectacled old man.
The man is Cao Shouyuan, and he is a 74-year-old fishing enthusiast. He often goes to Maqiao, Sheshan Hill or even further to fish. The tiring journey doesn't stop him from enjoying the fishing. And when Cao started bringing more and more fish home, Cao began to think of other ways of dealing with it. In March, Cao asked the Baochun Residential Committee about the number of single old people in this area and decided to send his fish to them. For this, Cao even changed his method of fishing.
Originally he preferred to fish in rivers since river fish can be sold at a better price. But after he began to send fish to old people, he fishes in a fish pool near Jianchuan Road.
"The fish in river is comparatively small with more bones. But the fish in the pool is much bigger with fewer bones. So it's much safer for old people to eat them," Cao said.
By now, several dozen old people have eaten Cao's fish, but they've never seen this mystery man. Often the residential committee has wanted Cao to deliver the fish himself but he always refuses. "It's much more meaningful to send it by the committee," Cao said.
Because of his poor eyesight, Cao often falls on his way to fishing, but he never gives up. "I want to do good while I am able. I just want all the single old people to enjoy my fish."
