The teacher whose dedication knows no bounds

SINCE she graduated from college in 2000, Xue Lifen has worked at the Luoyang Middle School for nine years. In the past nine years, her role has changed again and again - class teacher, subject department head, bride, mother-to-be.
However, there's one thing that doesn't change. Every morning, she is always the first one to arrive. After cleaning her office, she then becomes a temporary traffic warden helping maintain order outside the school gate. Day after day, she never stops.
According to the school regulations, the class teacher should arrive before 7:10am and other teachers at 7:30am, but Xue always arrives before 6:40am. When talking about her, the school principal Li Fengxian doesn't spare praise: "You see the bike park outside our school gate? It was Xue's golden idea."
Every day there're always some students who arrive very early and wait outside the gate. However, they used to park their bicycles all over the place which affected traffic on the road. When Xue noticed this situation, she suggested the school allocate 16 parking zones on both sides of the road for students to park their bikes temporarily. And after the gate is opened, she leads the students to the bike park on the campus. Thanks to her efforts, traffic near the school has improved a lot.
When taking care of the students, Xue pays a lot of attention to individuals. One year ago, she took the charge of a new class where several students were not self-disciplined enough. Xiao Zhang was the typical of this group - often disobeying the rules and poor at studying. When Xue learned that he liked playing basketball, she played with him every day. With her kindness and efforts, gradually they become friends, and Xiao Zhang's study has improved a lot.
Last March, a call from the Chinese Marrow Donor Program made her very excited. Her marrow matched one patient, which meant she might have the opportunity to donate. To ensure a successful operation, she decided not to have a child until the surgery was finished. At that time, many of her colleagues suggested she think about this more, but she has no regrets. However, it was a pity that she didn't receive the call to donate. In January, Xue fell pregnant. Considering her condition, the school wants her to take a vacation, but she refuses.
