A Minhang traffic police officer was attacked by the family of a person wounded in a car accident after those responsible for the mishap refused to pay compensation, police said. The officer suffered superficial head and neck wounds.
The incident started with a car accident on Songmin Road, which injured three people. The traffic office told those responsible for the accident that they would have to pay the medical fees of the injured. Later, the family of the injured burst into the police office and attacked the traffic patrolman. They were subsequently arrested, police said.
