Two night fairs to offer Taiwan-style food stalls
SHANGHAI will create several night fairs this year, including two in Minhang. One will be located in the Vanke Mall Qibao and the other will be at the Ala Mall venue in Hongqiao, both in Minhang District.
According to the Shanghai Commission of Commerce, the night fairs, patterned after popular models in Taiwan, will meet all public health and safety standards.
The fair at the Vanke Mall Qibao will be indoors. It will feature traditional Shanghai foods and snacks as well as creative cuisines.
The night fair at Ala Mall will be somewhat like the current Hongmei Road Entertainment Street in Hongqiao Area, or commonly known as “Laowai Street 101.”
Organizers said the fair will be set up along 150 meters of the street, holding more than 30 restaurants, booths and snack booths.
The venue is far enough away from residential areas so that neighborhoods will not be disturbed by noise.
