What holiday? The dedicated worked on

MINHANG Times usually devotes this page to the stories of two or three people from the district. This month we are casting our focus wider to meet an array of ordinary people who spent the recent Spring Festival without a holiday break. They may do different work, have different backgrounds and come from different parts of the world, but they have one thing in common: an abiding pride in the district where they live.

Spring Festival is traditionally a time when those from out-of-town head home for family reunions. We wanted to meet some of the people who didn't get that chance, so we asked shutterbugs in Minhang to record what they did over the holidays.

Of the more than 500 photos we received, these are just some of the stories of the proud people of Minhang.
