DISTRICT government offices, community service centers and the library are among 15 sites now providing free Wi-Fi access. People can link onto the Internet from mobiles by inputting their phone numbers at the login page and receiving a password. A mobile phone number can apply for a password twice a day at maximum, and each password expires after three hours. The number of access sites will increase as Minhang transforms itself into a "smart" district.
