Hi-tech park revenue reaches 29.72b yuan

PUTUO District’s branch of Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park recorded 29.72 billion yuan (US$4.83 billion) in revenue and 1.62 billion in profit in the first three quarters of 2014.
As a national-level industrial development zone, the park is becoming an important leader in technology innovation. The branch in Putuo is focused on science and technology companies.
The park opened an administrative service center on November 12 to simplify and speed up the handling of certifications for both companies and individuals. It also provides consultation services.
The district’s 11 administrative bureaus have opened an office in the center.
They include the business commission, environmental protection administration, the development and reform commission and the tax bureau.
The tech park located in Taopu is a key part of restructuring the district’s economy to make it more service and technology orientated.
