Volunteers from East China Normal University regularly visit Changfeng subdistrict to teach children Shanghai dialect through reading and games.
Children also learn in dialect about various aspects of Shanghai, from food and culture to geography. Courses include daily conversation, polite speech and idiomatic expressions.
