Microsoft gaming center set for park

Microsoft’s first global gaming innovation center will be located at Universal Software Park in Putuo District. The signing ceremony was held on January 27.
This project is the first newly established base that focuses on game innovation in China.
The center will depend on Microsoft’s technology platform and will be run by their management and technical staff working with government and related industries to help develop games for Microsoft Windows and Windows Phone.
It will also provide a healthy and energetic system for local digital applications and gaming industries, helping small and medium developers to gain skills that will help them create games that reflect Chinese cultural values.
The cooperation between Microsoft and Universal Software Park will be in various fields, including information construction, the mobile Internet industry, talent training and startup game companies.
The center will attract at least 30 new game innovation companies that will benefit in terms of office space and financial support.
The center will be a part of Microsoft’s “BizSpark” project, which is a global program that helps software startups succeed by giving them access to Microsoft software development tools, connecting them with key industry players, and providing marketing visibility.
