Discounts to honor National Tourism Day

A number of scenic spots in the Songjiang District will be offering half-price tickets on Sunday in honor of National Tourism Day.
The discount tickets will be available at places like the Chenshan Botanic Park, the Happy Valley theme park, the Moon Lake Sculpture Park, Chedun Film Park, Fangta Park and the Zuibai Pond Park.
The half-price admission policy extends to all adults. Each scenic spot will determine prices for children and the elderly.
All the sites have plans in place to open more ticket windows and extend closing times, if necessary, to accompany an expected flood of day-trippers.
Admission to Happy Valley will be reduced by half to 100 yuan (US$16.13), and the closing time will be pushed back to 9pm.
At Moon Lake Sculpture Part, ticket windows and the entrance have been moved to 158 Shebei Road because of roadworks on Linyin Road.
Local tourism officials are warning visitors that ticket lines may be long because of the discounts.
