Industrial park to be an engine for growth
An all-in-one smart industrial park rebuilt from two of Shanghai鈥檚 old machine tool factories in Songjiang District recently drew close public attention.
The 8.7-hectare Ledu City industrial zone is located on the west of Shenjingtang River and the south of Rongle Road W. Invested by Shanghai Premier Investment (Group) Co Ltd, the industrial park will be built into a cluster of smart and cultural innovation industries, a model for urban renewal and a landmark for a creative lifestyle.
The park with a planned floor area of 100,000 square meters has facilities including R&D institutes, headquarter offices and scientific innovation incubators. It will offer start-up incubation services and convenient life experiences on the basis of smart industries and cultural innovation.
Four functional centers are established in the park: maker center, innovation center, enterprise center and headquarters center. The park is well facilitated with boutique hotels, cultural spaces and rental apartments for talents.
Around 30 registered businesses are already operating in the area but when the park is completed in 2018 it will accommodate 200 companies.
Shanghai Premier Investment (Group) Co Ltd is optimizing its services for different industries with platforms for start-up incubation, industrial resource sharing and financial services.
The park will offer financial support to start-up projects, such as free rent charge. Start-up teams can receive training and investment from professional venture capital firms. It promises to be an engine for the economic growth for Yongfeng area in Songjiang.
