SONGJIANG District was recently honored as one of 28 China’s model areas in mechanized agriculture.
The district currently has about 167 square kilometers under cultivation, mostly in rice. More than 80 percent of paddy fields are now cultivated by machines, improving crop yields and farm incomes.
