Neighborhood renovation all on schedule

The renovation of Jiangchuan No. 1 and No. 2 Real Estate has been launched in Sijing Town.
鈥淎 sponge city鈥 program will bury all cables underground as a solution to flooding and safety hazards in the future. Parking spaces in Jiangchuan No. 2 Real Estate will be expanded by 88.
It is part of Songjiang District鈥檚 plan to renovate 58 old neighborhoods.
So far, two such projects have been completed and 27 others will be completed with the evaluation of bid. By the end of the year, around 1.5 million square meters of old neighborhoods will be renovated.
The two completed projects are for Jingzhuang Apartments in Zhongshan community and Yuanmenlu Neighborhood in Xiyu Village of Yexie Town.
Altogether 142 households in 13 buildings benefited from the renovation.
Meanwhile, in Yueyang community, the renovation of 14 old neighborhoods will start at the end of the month.
