A new world of color opens up to brides

FROM interesting embellishments, new necklines and fashionable adornments, each year presents new trends in wedding dress designs that dazzle future brides.

Today’s brides are increasingly embracing non-traditional colors on their wedding day and designers are taking note. New shades of green, blue, beige, orange, pink and more are available. Though white and ivory are still the safest and most common choices, the new colors certainly add a breath of fresh air.

Off-the-shoulder necklines are one of the most popular looks, both romantic and timeless. It remains a good way to reveal some skin while still remaining modest. Some designers have also given the look a modern twist.

For women who have beautiful shoulders and arms, strapless gowns are still one of the top choices flattering to the body type. Women generally feel beautiful and glamorous while wearing a strapless gown.

As a bride, looking your absolute best is a must for the big day. Thus it is important to understand that different gown silhouettes work best with different body types.

With ball gowns, an a-line is usually ideal for any body type. But the trumpet and mermaid designs are ideal for women with slender frames with small waists who want to show off their curves.

Sheath narrow shapes that flow straight down from the neckline to the hem are ideal for petite women.

While these act as a good guide, know that designers are keen to create new silhouettes that offer versatile, whimsical and modern options for brides.

Women can also consider consulting a good designer to get a custom-made wedding dress.
