THE beauty of Hokkaido changes with the seasons and the white beauty of winter is special. Known as the “snow country,” Japan’s northernmost island is covered with snow from December through March, sometimes at a depth of 4 meters. Our Hokkaido expedition starts with Hakodate, which boasts one of the world’s most breathtaking night views. Stop by Noboribetu to unwind in the hot spring.
