Big names and hip events highlight Croisements festival

Program Code: 0909346130605015

The Croisements Franco-Chinese Cultural Festival is returning to China this year with no less than 134 events - everything from dance and theatre to music and a contemporary circus - scheduled for a tour of 24 Chinese cities.
All areas of artistic collaboration are represented in a program that will spotlight co-productions between talented French and Chinese artists.
The tour includes stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Wuhan.
It will be the seventh annual festival. Every year it sets new attendance records while its influence expands around the country.
Blanca Li, a world famous dancer and mixed media artist, will perform her modern dance Elektro Kif during the festival. She tells the story of young adolescents searching for identity and recognition in their social environment, which is dominated by school.
The festival includes several French films that will be presented in Beijing from April 11 to 22. The same films will be shown in Shanghai from April 14 to 18.
Last year's festival brought together more than 1,000 French and Chinese artists and over 500,000 spectators as 215 performances toured 21 cities.
