Options that will get tails wagging

IT'S pretty straightforward to buy a pet such as a cat or dog in Shanghai. You just need to find a shop, fall for the cutest face there, pay up, register and bring the little guy home.

However, it's not that simple to take care of your little friend. Just like human baby, your kitten or puppy will get hungry, dirty, sick, or just bored. And you'll be unable to ignore even the slightest expression of begging on that cute face. You have to get it food, bathe it, take it to the vet and play with it. With all this to consider, finding professional and reliable services can be a lifesaver.

Here are some options in the city for taking care of your pets.

PETZOO

Opened in 2009 and located in the Gubei area of Changning District, PETZOO is a mega pet store from Sweden with an area of more than 2,000 square meters. It's a supermarket featuring all kinds of pets and pet-related products.

You can buy dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds, rabbits, mice and many other pets.

It also includes a pet grooming center, a veterinary hospital and a "pet hotel."

As the largest retailer of pet products on the Chinese mainland, you can find almost anything you need for your pet here - including more than 50 top international brands.

Prices are not cheap, but quality and service are excellent.

Its pet hospital offers more than 500 kinds of treatment.

It's a perfect option if you want your pet to enjoy the best.
