鈥楽trange Matter鈥
CRANK up a bowling ball and let it fly — you’ll find out if heat-tempered glass has the strength to withstand the shock or if the pane of glass will shatter. This is one of the exhibits at the “Strange Matter” exhibition now ongoing at Shanghai Science & Technology Museum where visitors can get over a dozen hands-on experiences and exhibits that give a close encounter with the amazing world of modern materials and materials science. The exhibition, a traveling exhibition developed by Canada’s Ontario Science Centre to explain materials science with fun activities, has attracted more than 4 million visitors over the past 10 years.
