A cinematic feast for the eyes and ears
JAMES Bond film fans will delight in a retrospective of some of the spymaster’s most memorable exploits, as portrayed by various actors who played the role. The film fare includes “From Russia with Love,” “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” and “Casino Royale.”
The 2016 Shanghai International Film and TV Festival will also show the complete “Harry Potter” series, with eight films. They include “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.”
Fox Searchlight Pictures will bring a series of acclaimed movies to the festival. They include the comedy “Little Miss Sunshine,” the suspense film “Black Swan,” the fantasy film “Waking Life,” and the biopic “Last King of Scotland.”
Award-winning movies to be screened at the festival also include “Son of Saul,” winner of this year’s Oscar for best foreign-language film and Golden Bear winner “Fire At Sea” — a documentary about Europe’s refugee crisis.
Apart from actual screenings, the festival will also host a series of film industry forums, an Internet film carnival, and cinematography master classes.
