Children’s art at Monet exhibition

A children’s painting exhibition is being presented at Shanghai K11 Art Mall as a charity event, part of the ongoing Monet exhibition.

The event has more than 40 works on display, most made by exceptional children. The works depict life and dreams, often with vivid colors.

The event is organized by Tix Media and Oriental Kid’s Art. Some proceeds will be used to buy painting supplies for children in  poverty-stricken areas.

Interactive games and art workshops will be offered to visitors, and kids can get professional coaching from art teachers.

Painting has turned out to be an effective way for exceptional children to express themselves, said Guo Liang, general manager of Oriental Kid’s Art.

“China has more than 1 million autistic children,” Guo said. “They have creativity and talent. Painting adds color to their lives and provides them with a way to communicate.”
