China’s top contemporary artists become ‘WE’ in new exhibit
THE exhibition “WE: A Community of Chinese Contemporary Artists” is on display at the chi K11 art museum in Shanghai.
Featuring more than 50 artworks, from painting, sculpture, installation, performance art and theater performance, the exhibition aims to express the diverse thoughts and ideas of individual, contemporary Chinese artists.
Coined as “WE” by the K11 Art Foundation, the 56 participants belong to China’s most important contemporary artists.
Besides the exhibition, interactive performances are open to the public each Sunday afternoon at the chi K11 art museum.
Between 3pm and 4pm today, Shanghai actress Huang Fangling will perform live at the space and invite audience members to participate in an artistic creation.
Tickets for “a.f. art theatreFangling” are sold on site prior to the performance for 50 yuan (US$7.96) each. If you scan the QR code, you get 20 percent off!
