‘Police Story 2013’

The crime film stars Jackie Chan in another reboot of the “Police Story” film series. It is directed by Ding Sheng, whom previously helmed Chan’s “Little Big Soldier.”

According to Chan, unlike the previous “Police Story” films where he portrayed a Hong Kong cop, in the new film he will portray a mainland Interpol cop known as Detective Zhong Wen. The story involves a kidnapping case and Zhong must use his wits to save the lives at stake before time runs out. A lot of kung fu scenes are featured in this crime thriller.

Like the previous “New Police Story,” “2013” is a stand-alone installment with a darker tone than the earlier installments, which were comedies.
